Megabus travel there and back is £7 each way, hotel is £135 for the 3 nights (£48/£52/£35 the split). Quite a while since I've had more than a night or two away from home - last hotel trip trip will have been a year earlier when I go away.

Done absolutely nothing today, saving myself for Tomorrow Night which what I normally do as I been invited to my Dads Partners Friends house by there Daughter, she must have a thing for me as she demanded I came when I was down hers on Boxing Day, likewise I like her also, so all the more reason to go.

In previous Years a lass in my Year who is born on the 29th(Yesterday) usually has a Party at the Whitehouse in Blackfell, but this year she hasnt bothered, no idea why as her Parties are always quite good.

Thought seem as I posted so many negatives today, I would post some of the good things that happened:

Managed to catch a ride on a Yellow Bus Olympian (3825 on the 43 MetroCentre - Stanley).

Got a good few rare workings for my Flickr too, despite camera problems.

My good planning skills (and damn good guesswork) leading me to have a pretty enjoyable afternoon getting pictures of the last-minute diverted East Coast HSTs through Brampton station as they were diverted via Carlisle due to a dewirement at Monktonhall Junction, Edinburgh - pics on Flickr:

Also stopped off in Brampton town itself (a good mile and a half from the rail station, good old inventions these cars are!) and had a gorgeous sausage roll and slice of chocolate cake from Routledges bakery (would recommend to anyone, just opposite the Moot Hall in the town centre)
