(24 Mar 2015, 4:21 pm)aureolin wrote Other than one is at one depot, and one is at the other, is there any reason why the fleet numbers for the spares are separated? Nothing wrong with it like - just curious Smile

I think it might just be to separate the batches.

Would be logical to have 5395-5401 at Stanley and 5402-5409 at Chester-le-Street, rather than 5395-5400 at Stanley and 5401-5407 at Chester-le-Street, with 5408 and 5409 at each respective depot, in my opinion. Smile

Like 3823, 3880 has had its rear destination display removed after freezing on 'X70 Consett'. Don't know if it was removed through this forum but i've posted it anyway.

The Streetlites have gained "Voiced by Sun FM" vinyls on the offside. Believe 5371 was replaced - 5374 was in Park Lane tonight so I'd put money on it being on tonight's 701!

FTransbus MPD 561 NK53TLF was seen today in plain Yellow being driven towards Riverside Depot from Blaydon on Trade Plates at around 16:00. The driver was wearing black overalls suggesting not a GNE fitter.

Sure is! Don't know why it was on trade plates though. However, it was going the wrong way for a start (Riverside from Blaydon rather than Blaydon from Riverside)

It may have suffered a problem whilst en - route to Hexham

Red Arrows 6006 has presumably broken down on the stand at Eldon Square. Lights & engine were off, and the destination was showing Not In Service. I know there's a 921 that leaves at 11:10, but I can't see any reason why it would be parked in the stand 15 minutes before its departure stand.

(23 Mar 2015, 12:10 pm)Dan wrote Transbus MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer 561 (NK53 TLF) was returned to Deptford this morning, after having additionally been re-trimmed. Hexham's former "Tynedale Links" branded 557 (NK53 TKV) arrived at Saltmeadows this morning in its place for the same treatment.

Stanley's former "Red Kite" branded Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity 5234 (NK56 KHB) is, as we speak, in the process of being prepared for its repaint, ahead of new vehicles arriving for the "Red Kite" services in the coming weeks and its consequent cascade to another service.

There have been no new arrivals today.

Has 5234 returned to Stanley yet, if so what colour?

Also GNE have gave us a sneak peak of the new X66 brand... http://www.simplygo.com/all-services/x66 - from what you can see, it looks good.

While at it for new buses... when they launch the Streetlites on the 8/8A/78/78A will all the info on its tab on the GNE be updated... it still says the 8 goes past the hospital in Sunderland every 30 minutes!

"lime service 8 runs from Chester-le-Street to Sunderland via Rickleton, Harraton, Washington Galleries, Waterview Park and Sunderland Royal Hospital. Buses run every 30 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes".

It looks like it could look pretty good in this blue mind.

Could get Dan, Citaro5284 and another two insiders to dress up, do a bit dancing and jig about in front of the cameras.

Mackem to Mackem, I'd be very disappointed in you if you painted your bedroom black!

Stanley's former "Red Kite" branded Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity 5234 (NK56 KHB) emerged from the paintshop today in black, and was sent back to Stanley this afternoon from Saltmeadows Road.

So... Which service(s) do we think that the OmniCitys will cascade down to when they are relieved of their duties on "Red Kite" services 45/46? In the words of citaro5284: let the guessing commence!

Well the obvious guesses would be The Loop or Fast Cats although I highly doubt we will see them on the Fast Cats as the Solar's were only repainted last year and I don't think the Loop will get them either.

The other guess would be a new brand or just new colour for a service - Toonlink perhaps.
