They do. I can't wait to see them branded up.

One of the red spares was also tucked away round the corner, and that looks just as smart. It was stood with another lime, and one of the X66 branded Streetlites.

How do you mean? You can buy a Get Around day ticket (like me) for £3.75, which can be purchased from the driver and so is a paper ticket, or you can purchase your tickets online.

Just get on any Go North East bus, ask for a ''Get Around'' and s/he'll charge you £3.75 for a day ticket.

The Get Around day ticket would get me to Middlesbrough on the X9/X10 wouldn't it? Or would I require a full fare ticket?

Possibly because the streetlites are nowhere near ready to enter service yet so they havent bothered doing any changes yet apart from changing the web link in advance? I can't even find the link that GuyParkRoyal has just posted either.

It will until the new brand is formally launched then the timetables will show the Coast&Country brand on a lime greeen Streetlite.

Just redirects you straight to the Lime page.

Makes sense as you don't want to be confusing passengers with having two different brands for the same services and the new StreetLite's will have new enhanced features that the Volvo B10BLE's don't have, WiFI charging points etc. so you don't want people complaining thinking they are getting a new bus with these features than a R reg B10BLE turns up with non of the features advertised.

Coast&Country, doesnt sound very Limetastic does it although the Brand Name makes a lot of sense, watch the branding be a Green Variation of the Drifter/Coaster Branding, but instead of having a Lighthouse on it, it will have Penshaw Monument.

Why Coast & Country I wonder? It goes nowhere near a Coast, and the only country it serves is bandit country.

The routes do go along the coast to coast cycle path so that is what they mean by coast maybe?

It's a bus though, not a bike. If they're not continuing the route as a 'cycle friendly' route, which the leaflet makes no mention of, it makes no sense.

Maybe I'm taking far too much of a simplistic view, but id expect a bus with 'Coast' on the side to go somewhat near a coastline? Nearest would be Seaburn, which is at least a good 20 minute walk, unless the route is going to change?

Seaburn for example is coastal. Sunderland City Centre, nor anywhere else on the 8/78 route, could be classed as coastal.

Aye I think the livery itself will look fantastic! Just don't understand the logic of the name. Smile

But the route follows the C2C cycle path...nobody has complained about the Blaydon Racers not going along Scotswood Road anymore have they? Yes it goes to Blaydon but thats it...
