I imagine they would start back rather than going into 5 figures. Just unlike Arriva and other companies, they dont use vacant fleet numbers again and continue from the next highest available fleet number.
The Current Scheme was started in 1975 and is no where near used up 40 years later, so would imagine it would take at least another 40 years to fill.
