The issue is more the fact that most of the routes that the gas buses do all run round council estates so I can't say I'd be particularly confident about jumping off in a random council estate, I'd really have to hope to get one on the 4 to Doxford Park really.
I do like route maps as it helps me get a sort of vision and an idea of where the bus goes rather than just guessing or reading a list of streets then have to look on Google Maps.
Never really used the Stagecoach website but from what I remember it's not great.
I used to visit Dewhirst's for work clothes, then get the bus through Pennywell into town - many years ago! i definitely wouldn't have got off.
The X36 doesn't exactly travel through the choicest parts of Sunderland. Downhill is so aptly named. And Witherwack does not deserve its comedy name. Felling was almost lovely, in comparison.
