You know, good omnicities are wonderful, quirky buses, but old clapped out ones are just old clapped out buses with particularly unstable suspensions. I'm sure the Prince Bishops Solars were as lovely as Pulsars in their day, but these days they just sound like they need to be taken out and shot. I should imagine that Omnicities that have been pounding the streets for the same length of time are much the same, so a major investment wouldn't make good commercial sense.

After all, GNE exists purely to make money by providing bus services that enough people want to use, rather than ones that make a handful of enthusiasts smile.

I'm glad of a few rides on a dual door renown, for example. Powerful buses (and dual doored buses of any flavour are unusual enough to interesting in this part of the world) but really showing their age. If a T reg renown was my regular local bus service, I'd feel mighty peed off and undervalued as a customer, though.
