(30 Sep 2015, 11:10 am)Charles41 wrote I get good hearted abuse from friends and work colleagues quite a lot. I do not mind it though, I know there's nothing malicious about it. My partner is the worst, she found it hilarious when I told her I was getting back into buses as a hobby. When I took her to the Metrocentre Rally and she was amazed how popular a hobby this is. The Metrocentre rally was the first bus rally I'd attended in years.

Now she helps me spot when we are travelling together and lets me know if she's seen any other enthusiasts on her travels. She confessed to being an Eddie Stobart fan and also looks out for J.R. Adams' trucks because she likes the colours.

Perhaps there's a hidden transport enthusiast in all of us just waiting to get out.

My mother embarrased me in Park Lane one night, when the 42 and 60 used to Interwork, a Green Drifter Versa pulled in on a 42, my mam said 'Thats unusual, thought they were only on Seaham and Murton buses(as it was at the time), I explained Interworking, then she turned round and said 'You gonna take a photo David' at that point I could feel every pair of eyes within 50' look to see what I would do and could feel my face burning and turning bright red...I wanted the ground to swallow me up right there and then lol
