Thanks, Charles. Sad that you couldn't make it; was a great event. I'd like to think Go North East might do something similar with their Volvo Olympians or Wright Renowns in the future. I was impressed by the frequency and variety in Manchester, and I'm looking into returning at some point in 2016. Other things on my to-do list include the Cumbrian Coast Class 37s; Leeds and West Yorkshire (with tyresmoke); York again (with citaro5284); and I'm also looking into doing an East Scotland Explorer (during the Summer holidays). It would involve getting the train up to Edinburgh, then visiting the likes of Kirkcaldy, Leven and Dunfermline. What has drawn me to the location is the apparent presence of a lot of Stagecoach coaches. Once I've got a DSLR camera; I'm also going to focus on rail photography more.
