Not necessarily. When i was getting the 16 from Stanley, at least 3 occasions (and it wasn't that many times, less than 10 that's for sure) the interior lights were switched off and only came on when the doors were open.
I hadn't checked their twitter so I suppose you have a point with that one but it shouldn't really have the destination set as if it in service, if correct.
