Think I'll get the 689 from Consett to Hexham tomorrow morning as it arrives around 10 minutes in front of one of the PCL Travel services with the other arriving sometime before, both services should terminate at Wentworth Car Park which is near the bus station, so I'm hoping that's where they'll park up, if not there the bus station. Only worry about going to Hexham for that time is the sun is likely to be in an awful place, was a nightmare last time. Hoping to catch the GNE loaned Solo in Hexham.
The other option is to pick a bus up following a walk from Beamish to West Pelton and a 28/28a. This is a shorter walk than up to Thatchers Foot.
I would try heading to Hexham initially and spending time there, prior to heading back south via Beamish.
Will do the 28C in the afternoon, although I think rain is forecast for the afternoon, so that may cause a few issues.
