A VOSA registration was submitted some time ago for a change in route and timetable to service 4 from 9 September 2012.

The Stagecoach website has updated its timetable section to say that the existing timetable will be finishing on the 8 September. Although it has not been officially announced by Stagecoach yet, the Traveline journey planner shows that service 4 is to extend from Downhill to Town End Farm every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes. I can only assume that this is an attempt to increase market share in conjunction with the existing 13 service over Go North East's service 36.

The extension of service 4 would increase it's PVR from 9 to 10.

Stagecoach making sure it has the hand in Sunderland once again, GNE 36 is still doing well, it has alot of competition on its route, if this change is correct, stagecoach just want to link Sunderland up from all area's to give new links and GNE more work.
