Main point:
- As per the Milburngate Bridge temporary timetable last summer, an additional vehicle is added into the PVR.
- Unlike last summer, only an extra 5 minutes are being added into the Middlesbrough-bound journeys during the Monday to Saturday daytime leaving Durham while journeys from Middlesbrough gain no extra time. Evening and Sunday journeys gain an extra minute from Durham.
- The new timetable also now advises which of the late runs require a change of bus in Durham. Passengers catching the Monday to Friday 1750 from Middlesbrough wishing to travel beyond Durham will not require a change of bus but the Saturday journey at 1745 will. Likewise, the 1910 from Newcastle will require a change all week (as that looks to be a Stockton working for the summer - however, it does presently require a change anyway).
I'm really pleased to see that the experimental 1800 and 1910 journeys have been kept, especially since these services are now carrying decent loads. Some weekends you can take up to £50 going in one direction. I was really worried that they were going to withdraw them, since some drivers feel the need to follow a 21 and have a 'quiet trip'. Nice to see progress of sorts.
