Of course he will. If they get him to quit then they don't face the real prospect of standing a candidate to lose.
I'm sick of people comparing it to the 80s, and accusing it of being another militant tendency. It's not at all. It's simply a candidate commanding support from people, because he is standing on an anti austerity platform. The establishment are terrified of that, because it'll be proven that austerity is a political ideology!
