Certainly this Vecta sporting Viva pomotion didn't have the upgraded spec interior you mention (unless carpeted walls count!)
"The new fleet – made up of 27 brand new buses and 23 refurbished vehicles – launched under the banner of 'VIVA' represents a substantial investment of £3.5 million by Arriva North East, one of the region's premier transport operators. The investment provides improved facilities, increased services on many routes and better travel information services.
The new buses will offer improved levels of comfort and accessibility for all travellers. Each is fitted with comfortable individual seats, additional luggage space, tinted windows and low level hydraulics – which means there is no step up from the kerb, making access easier, particularly for those with limited mobility, or parents with buggies or wheelchairs."
That Vecta wasn't part of the Viva programme.
