The investment provides improved facilities, increased services on many routes and better travel information services.
The new buses will offer improved levels of comfort and accessibility for all travellers. Each is fitted with comfortable individual seats, additional luggage space, tinted windows and low level hydraulics – which means there is no step up from the kerb, making access easier, particularly for those with limited mobility, or parents with buggies or wheelchairs."
That Vecta wasn't part of the Viva programme.
The one you are quoting was 'Viva Durham' - the network review that took place the day the new members of the Operation Overdrive fleet entered service.
The Vecta is advertising 'Viva Tees Valley' - the network review of the Teesside and Tees & District operations that took place in July 2006 which didn't see any brand new vehicles introduced (until March 2007 when the delayed Omnicitys arrived at Stockton for the X6).
'Viva' was the network branding used in 2005/6. Funny enough, only the Durham and Tees Valley ones were branded as such and it was quietly dropped. Given the current Tees Valley network is vastly different to what it was after Viva.
