Surely most the changes in relationship with the 1 / 6 / 7 / 18 / 32 / 32A / 62 / 63 are in relationship to the closure of the road from South Gosforth to Gosforth Park in the summer as it's going to cause absolute chaos around Four Lane Ends like the day it was shut a couple of weeks ago.
Hence the reason for the 1 being taken away from Four Lane Ends, 6 not going to Forest Hall at peak times (worse time), 62 going the quick route via West Farm and having time made up in the West End so they can control it easier with potentially a lot more time added.
Then they have the 18 picking up most the mess ie. long route around Longbenton etc as it's one of the less important bus routes to them so they can leave one with all the delays and try to regulate the rest on time and also running every 40 minutes.
Especially the fact the changes are being made late April, a few weeks before it's rumoured to be starting.
It's something Arriva really need to take in consideration but no doubt the 'experts' in Luton wont do nothing and the X7, X8, 52, 53 and 54 will just run consistently late or not at all again with them completely being oblivious to the problems and being more bothered about posting about a max launch in Stockton or something totally irrelevant like last time.
BIB: Only Arriva's customer services are based in Luton. Their Commercial Management (i.e. the ones who deal with services changes etc) are based at the regional headquarters at Doxford Park.
