Not sure this has been mentioned, but TPX are funding a MoorsbusPlus ticket, which will be valid on their services, Northern along the Esk Valley line and Moorsbus services.
Link ain't working for me but the MoorsPlus service is supported by TransPennine Express which runs between York, Pickering and Danby plus other places along the way running on Mondays (Inc. Bank Holidays) and Saturdays until September 30th. The service is operated by Reliance Motor Services as demonstrated here: https://flic.kr/p/U9VC1j
