How would you go about doing that though? The reason, I assume, they've decided to use the X14 as the new Sunday service is so that confusion is avoided. If you had it going to the X18, you'd either run it up to Alnwick with a very odd frequency, or terminate it at Morpeth and have people asking why it isn't continuing.
I think one thing that does need to be looked at on a Sunday is introducing an X15 to Berwick.
