If GNE were to operate, they'd be expected to stick to the route, therefore cutting off extra profit from it for the people travelling on it to (albeit incorrectly) Burnopfield Co-op/Pickering Nook, rather than going down Busty Bank at Post-office.

They're used to picking up the pieces after picking up work from operators who go off route to suit getting back to their depot on earlier.
