They would have the potential to make the most of the opportunity, such as allocating deckers or dupes on those shared corridors.
Im sure there could be many commercial opportunities too, should they wish to try and obtain custom on a longer term basis.
There's also the metro to think about North out of Newcastle and East towards the coast.
Not sure GNE would have it their own way entirely mind.
