But others companies have tried to run between the two towns and not succeeded. The X4 and X3 system seems to work and the 5A stopping at Guisborough doesn't seemed to have caused any problems. When Brotton and Loftus only have a 3 times a day council service to Skelton's shopping estate, that seems more needed.
I think that there needs to be a link between Saltburn and Guisborough.
I find it bizarre that it's like a military mission to get between the two using public transport - despite them just being a few miles apart, somewhere students travel between for college & school, whilst both towns are growing far more than many others in the East Cleveland area.
Taxis are an option, but unless there are a few passengers, then it's not always affordable. Whether during the day or on an evening.
Appreciate R&C council offer a service on an evening, so there must be some demand.
I agree that services from the south of Skelton are poor and attention is needed to improve links to/from Asda etc.
Is there enough demand to warrant more than the council service? Genuinely don't know
