I can't see anyone else buying a large bus operator like Arriva. Maybe sell the services and buses to independents like A-Line, Phoenix, Stanley Travel etc, and close the depots??? I don't use Arriva, so would be happy to see them sold, and improved, so I can use the services!

The chances of of Stagecoach or Go Ahead buying parts of Arriva is slim to none. I doubt the CMA would even consider it.

The biggest issue (for me anyway) with Arriva is the lack of money. The lack of investment is really starting to show with the age and condition of some of the fleet.

As I've said before, what they need is someone to come in and buy them, invest the money they need to improve the services! GNE are upgrading their fleet like money is going out of fashion, and it's really putting Arriva to shame. They need drivers that at least act like they want to be there, and

Don't get me wrong, I'd love nothing more than for GNE to buy Arriva's Durham operations, but if they were allowed, I can't see anything good coming of it.
