If this is true, guessing another bus route in North Tyneside is going subsidised. I don't know how some on here can say competition for the buses is a good thing. One of the few areas which has competition (N Tyneside) is pretty much nearly all subsidised nowadays at some point and tbh the network is a mess mostly. Hopeless W buses which go nowhere. Numerous buses going around estates but not linking to actual places you want to be at (Morrisons / Tesco (Norham Road) / Silverlink). It really needs a radical change but who does it as GNE and Arriva are both clearly disinterested in the area and Nexus buses are never changed.
