If (which is unlikely), the drivers have got it wrong.
What would make sense to me is have the 41 operating
Hadrian Park - Battle Hill - High Farm - Wallsend - Holy Cross then a circular up Churchill Street, via Coniston Road, Ridley Avenue, Tynemouth Road and back to Churchill street (then reverse).
That would maintain the bus service on Coniston Road - which would be lost if the 41 and 42 are no longer going to serve it.
Then the 11 would remain the same.
