Yeah I would have been 8 at the time and the school I mentioned was Owton Manor Primary ( now Eskdale Academy).  Used to watch them at the stop on Wynyard Road on a dinner time.  Was really exciting the first time I seen double Deckers doing the town services as well although whenever went out on bus never seemed to get one think first time was on the 39 to Middlesbrough.
