The majority of brands designed by Beacon Creative have always been hit and miss in my opinion. They're either very basic or too complex - and all look tacky and amateur. Small details seem to be overlooked and there isn't much messaging that attracts to car drivers, especially at speed. I think GNE have done the right thing and moved to Best Impressions who actually seem to put a bit more care and precision into the designs.

The worst recent ones from them seem to be Cobalt & Coast (tells me where the bus goes, I suppose?) and Little Coasters (which occasionally go to the coast!). Over the years, Saltwell Park was my favourite from them, but the route branding itself didn't really do it any favours.

Before Martijn came along, I think GNE relied too heavily on their brightly coloured buses to get attention, rather than what was actually written on them or inside them - it worked to an extent when branding was first introduced, but not so much now.
