I get that it's easier to use name of a 'landmark' rather than the proper stop name, but I'd prefer it if they just used the actual stop name, at least that way it's the same as the name in Google Maps!

Yep, like I've said before why 'High Level Bridge North' instead of 'St Nicholas Street' or even 'St Nicholas' Cathedral/Castle Keep'.
