RE: A Day with Go North East
(04 Jun 2021, 9:40 am)Adrian wrote I quite like the idea of bells on the back of each seat, as it saves reaching over people to try and press the bell. Especially on Streetlites, where most examples only have a single bell press button on the offside rows of seats.

It must be a nightmare testing them all before the bus goes out on a morning though, especially on a decker!
I am all for increasing the number of stopping bells on buses after a few nights in Cardiff where many of the buses were full and if I got a seat without a bell at it was a nightmare to get off as had to get the person sat opposite to get up then press the bell, not ideal when there was only a short distance between stops.

The one I really hate is Transdev who seem to have started to put bells under the windows at certain seats which is awkward as owt if you have to sit in an aisle seat, remember my first time on an electric Volvo round Harrogate, sat at the back and was no bells and was unaware of the side bells as wasn't any at the back so had to run down to the front of the bus to stop the bus.
