I don't think Hydrogen is going to be a better solution for city work, even with buses. I have a feeling that BEVs will be for city cars, buses and commercial vehicles, whilst hydrogen and synthetic petroleum/electric hybrids will be used for long distance stuff, for all sorts of vehicles.
