Presumably the shorter Euro 6 E200s are needed for the 32 given the size restrictions on this route, hence resulting in the 317 being allocated these longer E300s.

They've got about 19 E200s so more than enough to cover 32 & 317. Theoretically allocated to 6 & 7 but E300s often sub on those routes (which won't need Euro 6 so could have anything - with the E300s back on the 10/11/Expresses). There is bound to be some method to the madness though (and hopefully not just a ridiculously over inflated seating requirement on the contract)

They've been in a shocking state internally since they arrived to replace the Olympians on CSS, which were in a far better condition! What were passenger numbers like on the runs you sampled?
