Not to mention I'm not sure people in Bishop will appreciate not having a bus in the winter when it's sunny there because there's 3FT in Consett.

The A68 is a lethal road in the winter, it's definitely not a route which buses should be going along in the dark when there's snow around especially around Tow Law especially at the times they'd need to do it for the early boards.
