Whoops, I forgot it's a bad idea to share my dirty Tory views around here
In all seriousness though, given that this cost of living crisis is being heavily fueled by the 'special military operation' in Ukraine, and the sanctions imposed on Russia causing fuel, gas, and electricity prices to shoot up, and therefore increasing the cost of a lot of things, I don't think it's fair to blame that entirety on the Government.
As for the lockdowns, I think it's very difficult to find a balance between being too restrictive, and too open. In hindsight, maybe locking down earlier could have made a difference, maybe it wouldn't have. It's not really my field of expertise, but looking at the difference in restrictions between England, Scotland and Wales and the number of cases, they didn't seem to do a whole lot once cases were already high.
Anyway, I really don't fancy having a political debate (aka slinging match). Everybody is entitled to their own opinions, and believe it or not I do actually find it really interesting listening to other people's views. Despite me being a filthy Tory voter, my best friend is a Labour voter. And just because I voted Conservative, doesn't mean I agree with everything they say. Likewise, I there are some things that Labour say that I agree with.
