They aren't.

East Yorkshire have a surplus of double-decks, and Go North East needs double-decks for schools (of which they have won 61 from Nexus starting September, as well as running others in County Durham) as well as the Metro Replacement contract.

It's no different from any of the buses that Go North East are taking from other operating companies.
