To my knowledge in the 3 years I worked for EE the service on an evening has always been poor unless your heading in the opposite direction towards Newcastle.Well all they need to so if running a PVR of 3x is basically have a slightly later service to Blyth departing Newcastle between 20:49 and 20:55 (termimating no more than 30 minutes later than the current 20:25 ex Newcastle) and run the last 310 ex North Shields via Cobalt omitting Hadrian Park and High Farm (ex N.Shields 22:05, arr NCL 22:50)!
All Go North East need to do is retime the evening departures by switching around the 309/310 departures from Newcastle and i'd also say on an evening after 7pm the 310 should serve Cobalt Business Park in full to make it easier for those in North Shields to get home also.
The 309/310 worked absolutely fine before COVID!
