X45/30/31 need another PVR in the loop.
65 needs another branded bus for changeovers as the delays are beyond a joke, I saw on Twitter earlier that the MP for Easington complained to GNE about the delays. I think there were 5 if not more delayed operations for the X45/30/31 and 4-6 for the 65.
X21 I think was delayed causing a part of the journey missed a few times.
These changes weren't to improve reliability, or driver cancellations list to go it was for the 60+ contracts they got which they are taking staff off normal routes. I mean I've been over the network today and the 97, 53/54, 65, X20, 60, 20 were all really busy so god knows how they're going to cope. Same with the 21 they were all rammed leaving and going to Newcastle.
But remember BetterThanEver
So more unneeded repaints really?
When GNE says Future Planning for their services it might aswell just say we will change them in a few weeks. 12 4ph > 2ph, 65 2ph > 1ph, 97 4ph>3ph 57 4ph>2ph.

Effectively minus the Durham-Tyne Diamonds (43/44 and whatever variations), the X30/X31, X71/X72 and X45 have effectively returned to pre October 2015 capacity levels taking into account that the 45/46 ran every 15 mins using single decks.
With the X71/X72 now 'final', I'm sure GNE will change the X30/X31 to interwork with these whilst adding more recovery time and improving headway between Sunniside and Newcastle. There'd be no overall PVR increase. Likewise, the X45 could just remain standalone and would still comply with 5hr30m rule given the relief is practically Hownsgill Depot.
X21 I do agree with you on that one especially with the unpredictable A1/A1M!
