Since I got the house 4 and a half years ago, next door has been as good as empty. When I first moved in it was an 80+ year old next door, so other than having to listen to songs of praise through the walls, it was peaceful. Last year the house was bought by some developers and they spend the last 18 months doing the house up, but because they were from Scotland it would only be on the weekends. Plus, given I grew up living in building sites, the construction noise really didn't bother me (If anything, it puts me to sleep!)
I come back home from my daily Lidl run tonight to find some youths moving in, I really hope they're not into that shite they call 'music' these days!
