Don't worry. I doubt the scheme will still be around when you retire. I can't see it still existing in its current form when I reach pension age in *mumble* years. 

Though if concessionary bus passes were to be means tested, maybe discounted travel for young adults should be, too. That must cost bus companies a fortune.
