I do it both over the Tyne and Wearmouth bridges too. Should no buses be going over them either in windy conditions? The only reason the Redheugh closes to high sided vehicles is due to the proximity of the edge of the bridge to the running lanes, it is completely legal to straddle lanes on a windy bridge.
