Aye I meant coming to the end of their life early, gas buses due to half life refurbishments which are uneconomical by rumours floating around. Arriva Darlington are in a similar boat.

Honestly not too sure if I had to be honest, possibly though. They both seem to be struggling though, mind the ADL ones seem worse.

Wouldn't say the 22 is exactly that punishing really, most of it just pottering around Byker etc. Maybe harder than the rest of the Stagecoach Newcastle network (mind the X's are harder imo) but compared to other routes it's a breeze. On paper it's not a route that should kill a bus unless they're just a bit crap.
