(25 Dec 2022, 12:56 pm)Malarkey wrote I would drop the 311 and have the 306 additionally serve Hadrian Park and then have the 310 additionally serve Wiltshire Drive and drop the 51/51A if a "Partnership" was to come into effect and then have the 306/308/309 & 310 each operate every 20 minutes, I would also stretch to having joint route branding and perhaps in investment in "New Buses" to the same specification so that everything is equal.306 serving Hadrian Park would be a no go as that would mess up the Billy Mill corridor.
Plus keeping the 306 through Battle Hill would lead to an uneven service. I could see the 311 going though and something like........
Arriva 306 - Same as now but omits Battle Hill (every 20 minutes)
Arriva 308 - Same as now (every 20 minutes)
Go North East 309 - Same as now but via High Farm rather than Selby Gardens (every 20 minutes)
Go North East 310 - Opt 1 - Same as now but always via Hadrian Park (every 20 minutes)
Go North East 310 - Opt 2 - Same as now but via Wiltshire Drive (every 20 minutes)
If Opt 2 chosen for the 310......
Arriva 55 - Extended to Whitley Bay 1 per hour via Holystone then current 51 route
Stagecoach 22 - 1x every 20 mins to Hadrian Park / 1x every 20 mins to Cobalt
Means Coast Road corridors would be....
- Newcastle to Station Road (every 5 mins)
- Newcastle to High Farm & Battle Hill (up to every 10 mins)
- Newcastle to Billy Mill (every 10 mins)
- Rake Lane to Blyth (up to every 10 mins - 308/309 would even out with extra time the 309 would take between Newcastle and Rake Lane)
