(04 Mar 2023, 10:57 am)Storx wrote Yeah it was, mind the time difference would be negligible for most people to be fair since the 22 stops all the way through Newcastle whereas the Coast Road services only stop at Haymarket which can be a potential 15 minute walk depending where your going.Exactly. The 57/58 took around 33 minutes from The Bush in Hadrian Park to Monument & Market Street. The 22 would take 38 minutes likewise and as Storx said, not forgetting the trade-offs:
I'd be tempted to take the trade off personally if I lived in Hadrian Park.
Also not sure what's going with the 22 online either as it's just vanished from both the Stagecoach site and BusTimes.
- Manors - For the Quayside and Ouseburn
- Market Street
- Grainger Street
- Central Station
All those a good walk fron Haymarket in come cases!
Peter Huntley and to some extent Martijn got it right with Hadrian Park. Peter Huntley did not like the 315/316 doing the 'loop' hence why the 58 (later the 57) & 75/76 (and subsequent 310) were in their particular forms.
The 75/76 and 310 actually took some passengers away from the 44/X8/X9 around the Norham Road area since Hadrian Park was dropped.
