However, as usual despite all their promises and hot air, the union will recommend accepting a derisory offer after Arriva fiddle with the figures a few times to try and make it look more attractive.

This screams of the Union doing a full 180 from their usual approach to be honest. The offer of over 10% (I've heard a figure of £14/hr, so a 10.7% raise from the current £12.65) isn't bad in the current climate, especially with inflation dropping, but I don't believe it was even put to members. 

A change from the past approach of them recommending members accept shockingly bad offers.
