Well, the 6:10 would get you into Newcastle just before 7:00, which for people trying to get to newcastle to start at 7 would be struggle. As well the 6:40 would give a good time to start in newcastle before 8, whereas the next bus 7:09 would give you 5 mins to get to your place of business. 

Really the 29 should be half hourly between Kimblesworth and Newcastle, offer more workplace links to Team Valley, perhaps a 29A, which goes from Kimblesworth, on the A1, then through team valley, past Sainsburys to Gateshead and Newcastle.
