I can't remember the X4 via Boldon after 1986 so must have been before dereg.

Yea well before dereg, does anybody know when Washington galleries was built, maybe the x4 was rerouted when the galleries opened maybe, as Washington Concord bus station was the main town centre a place to go in that era [emoji23]

I think the same as the originally X6 from Sunderland to Consett, used to take an hour from end to end, can’t do that these days even though it went straight along Chester road between Sunderland and Chester-le-street and later diverted to Washington galleries then diverted upto Langley park from Chester

Yea, used to get it a lot from Grindon Mill to Newcastle as when it only stopped at Hastings Hill then Concord then Gateshead then 2 stops in Newcastle , from Park Lane only took about 45 minutes, I think the x96 was similar time aswell, X4 took an hour.
