Partly the reasoning behind the changes to the 5 in the Loftus area - the lack of usage from Skinningrove certainly helped inform the decision. As such, Liverton Mines will be served in the same style as the current Sunday operation on weekdays - one journey an hour will serve the village towards Easington but will omit it towards Middlesbrough, with the opposite journey omit it towards Easington but serving it towards Middlesbrough. While this likely means the two buses will serve the village within minutes of each other, it will even out the layover time at Easington equally rather than retaining the present operation whereby the journeys via Liverton have less layover time to recovery any delays compared to those via Skinningrove (Liverton journeys get 3 minutes present, compared to the 7 on the Skinningrove trips).
