Just by looking at the timetables you can see that the 36/37/38 cycle just doesn't have enough time to begin with, needs another bus to allow it to slacken off. Going via Teesdale, is slightly slower albeit more predictable. It will probably make it worse overall.
For such a key employment and study area, the lack of public transport around Teesdale has often puzzled me.
Other than the X10 and X12, there's either a walk to/from Stockton or a walk to/from Thornaby Station.
Could diverting the 36/37/38 improve access and therefore justify the diversion?
