There's a set of cameras on the top of Newcastle Bank in Birtley which are currently monitoring traffic flow, they are however ANPR capable which has cash cow written all over it!
Wi-fi in Nexus infrastructure, yes all well and good. But on buses? This should be left to operators to pick up the tab for surely?
I appreciate I'm probably in the minority here, but cameras to keep people out of bus lanes are good in my eyes. And yes, I'm a motorist. At times, the bus lane heading down from Gateshead Interchange to the lights is beyond a joke with motorists taking the mick. And they still get held up the next set of lights about 3 bus lengths away!
