(07 Jun 2024, 5:28 pm)Dan wrote Given that the secured section between Doxford Park and Washington doesn't cost an entire peak vehicle, it will be interesting to see what impact the loss of such a contract would have upon the rest of the 39 - naturally the service would revert to its previous state (i.e. no longer serving Tunstall Bank Estate and Houghton-le-Spring) to remove the peak vehicle cost, but I'd be surprised to see such a significant and political change achieved at short-notice, given commitments as part of the EP.Or perhaps Nexus were aware the awarding the 39 (used to be 37) contract to someone else would lead to the loss of the HLS leg?
Will Go North East be forced to have a bus sitting in Houghton-le-Spring for a considerable amount of time - at least temporarily - or will a more drastic timetable change be achieved at short-notice?
(07 Jun 2024, 5:34 pm)Thomas12 wrote I think so, as the 10/11 from Jarrow to North Shields is under contract by Nexus until July.I assume a Durham County Council contract change as the 201 is fully secured.
Also to note - a 202 has appeared in the 201. Not sure if this is a return of the original 202 or something else.

Looks like the 9 is being extended to North Shields.
lots of Nexus contracts are due for renewal in July and I wonder is some of that elusive BSIP money is being spent?
