I don't get what the complaint here is. Surely though even if this plan goes through. Surely nexus won't already have an evening & Sundays service thought of already
Smacks of entitlement to me. The are basically complaining that their frequent bus service to the city centre takes a different route and they would need to change buses to get to Gosforth. Like thousands of other people across the north east who dont have direct bus services to every place they would like. In the current climate, the fact there's essentially a frequency increase and still direct service to city centre - yet still moaning.
Obviously think throwing in random reference to the Equality Act is going to help their cause. Not sure the Equality Act specifies residents have to have a direct bus to Gosforth! If there are parts of the estate left with no service at all (no access within however many metres is the rule) then this is different, but not just that the service they have doesnt happen to take a given route.
Interesting to note they somehow also manage to combine into the same paragraph complaining about a lack of transarency and consultation, with complaining that the plans have been shared prematurely. How on earth can be sharing information = lack of transparency? Or is it that only Great Park residents whose views should be heard before eveyone else's on the route?
