In a way I wouldn't be surprised if they're not replaced. The NHS is skint to be spending money on duplicate bus services, especially the 47 which shadows the 32/32A and pretty much everything is closed at the General now anyway.
For the Regent Centre you could easily go one extra stop and change at South Gosforth on the 6/7 or if your coming from Northumberland change onto the 37/52 at Cramlington.
Not as quick but the NHS hasn't got an unlimited pot of money. The H badly needs to be upped in frequency though.
